After months and months of waiting and waiting, it finally happened. Today I came home from work and again, no phone call from the RE's office. After a few expletives yelled at my blank phone I decided I would go open the mail. I noticed one thick letter and it was addressed from Cooper Center for IVF (our RE's office). I tore it open like a kid on Christmas morning and there was all of the information for us to move forward with IVF. The very front page said "Dear Kristen, We are pleased to inform you that you have been chosen for the donor oocyte program." I don't know that more beautiful words have ever been typed.
I immediately tried to call my husband (no answer), my Mom (no answer), my husbands cell (no answer) and my Mom's cell (no answer). As I was about to jump out of my skin I realized in my haste I had misdialed my own hubby's number. I tried again and this time got to tell him the good news. So now we have to wait for the witch to arrive and start our IVF cycle. I finally feel the excitement and hope that I used to feel about someday getting pregnant.
