Spoke too soon

Yesterday I commented on how well I have been doing with the shots. I was so impressed with myself that I barely complain and I have only the tiniest of bruises. I must have sounded like such a braggart making it sound like drinking a class of water. Well, today I woke up late and had to give myself my Lupron shot in a bit of a hurry. I filled the syringe, wiped a spot of my stomach with an alcohol wipe, grabbed a hunk of skin and put the needle to my stomach. Usually it glides in without much pressure... but not today. I had to apply a small amount of pressure to insert the needle. After I did, I noticed a small bruise forming. I didn't think much of it until about two hours later when I looked at the injection spot and found a two inch black-purple bruise. I have never had such a dark bruise in my life. So, I guess that's what I get for opening my mouth too soon. And those are supposed to be the easy shots. The night time shot includes mixing three different vials of powder with a water solution using what's called a Q-cap. Then I have to put the needle on the syringe and have the shot. It's these shots that sting like a bi#@!. The fun keeps on coming...
