So, for those of you who have been following along, here is the IVF update. I have been doing the Lupron injections for about a week and a half now. At first it was kind of exciting doing something so proactive. That excitement has given way to exhaustion, moodiness and plenty of tears. It is a little frightening to feel so out of control. I can go from laughing to crying in a few seconds flat. The exhaustion is probably the worst part. I tend to be pretty lively throughout the day. I NEVER, EVER nap. Sometimes I need a little caffeine as a pick-me-up, but I usually have a good energy level. Now I find myself almost falling asleep in the middle of the day. Driving after about 10pm is a danger for me. I think that I could probably fall asleep standing up. All this being said, I still can't sleep at night. I guess hormones are not enough to get rid of chronic insomnia.
I go on Monday for blood work to check my levels. If everything looks good I will start taking all three medications on Tuesday. I hear that they burn when injected, so I am totally not looking forward to that. So, the fun continues...

Wow, a girl on 1 of my buddy groups was taking Lupron & was having similar side effects. I told her to take a pregnancy test & she said that the doc checked for that before injections. She was going for her 2nd injection & her test came up positive and she was 2 months pregnant by then!
I would definitely keep track of your side effects too.
Good luck & hope you don't need to go through with the IVF!
best regards, nice info
