One of the most difficult parts of trying to conceive is when you get the age old question, "so when you are going to have kids." I hate sharing my long story of infertility, but still never know what to say to that one. I usually say something like "soon enough" or "in the next couple of years" if I'm feeling snotty I might even say "when we are ready."
I subscribe to a great magazine called Conceive, which is for infertile couples who are TTC. I came across a great article and just had to share. The heading was Ten Snappy Answers to "when are you going to have a baby?"
1. When we get to it, I promise you'll be the first to know.
2. When we are rich an famous.
3. Why do you want to know?
4. I've already had several miscarriages. (This usually shuts them up.)
5. Why are you so nosy? (Said with a smile, this comes off playful, though serious works well, too.)
6. I'm so glad you brought that up! I'm having fertility issues. What do you want to talk about first - my uterine lining or John's sperm count?
7. When we win the lottery.
8. We're trying, and we're having a hard time of it. Do you have any other friends with fertility problems?
9. We've decided not to have kids; thanks for asking. (When it happens, they'll be surprised.)
And my favorite...
10. We're in a quandry - puppy or baby. Which do you think would be better?

I read that article too and thought there was some great suggestions. My grad school advisor told me to tell people, "we're trying as hard as possible". That usually shuts them up too!
Those were cute.
I, too, get sick of going through the whole shpeel on how our son was a Clomid baby & we're having fertility issues again, blah blah blah.
So now I just say, I think 1 is a handful right now, thank you! That usually works. Good luck with the injectables.
There's never an easy answer for this.. and I imagine it gets harder after hearing it for so long. Seems like those stupid questions start as soon as the wedding rings hit your fingers!
Thinking of you, wishing you all the strength it takes to get through this as sanely as possible. (((hugs)))
