Here is the list of books I have read so far (or are in the process or reading) about pregnancy. Can you tell I am a little obsessed? I just like to be informed!
- The Everything Breast Feeding Book
- Mothering Multiples
- What to Expect When You Are Expecting
- Belly Laughs
- Baby Laughs
- Twins!
- Touch Points (T. B. Brazelton)
- CHOP's Baby Care Book
- Chicken Soup for the Expecting Mothers Soul
- Caring For Your Baby and Young Child
I have actually stopped reading pregnancy books for a while since there is such a thing as too much information. ;>)

Make sure to take your BF'ing book to the hospital! It will help at those 2am feedings when you don't want to ring a nurse for help.
One of the books I read was La Leche League's "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding". It was informative and had great pictures for reference.
I read "Belly Laughs" and nearly peed myself from laughing so hard! My husband couldn't understand what was so funny! I read it in one sitting!
I completely understand about too much information... I had to ban myself from reading the bulletin boards on Baby*Center because I would get myself all worked up and worried about "What-Ifs". Good for you for knowing your limit! ;-)
I had a book during my pregnancy that was called The Pregnancy Bible....it was extremely informative about the pregnancy (showed pictures of what the babies should look like at their different stages), and also about labor, delivery, etc. Let me know if you would like the author's name.
One of the most helpful books for us was Happiest Baby on the Block. We also read On Becoming Babywise, but that one actually was helpful for me later in the first year.
Totally forgot about Happiest Baby on the Block. I read that pre-birth and it helped tremendously those first few weeks. I can pass my copy along to you if you're interested...
Also, another one that's really good (especially for Dads) is "The Baby Owner's Manual".
