Contractions

Well, I almost ended up at the Labor & Delivery Unity tonight. I hit the four contractions in a hour mark and had to call the OB (It was actually 4 ctx in 20 min and a total or 6-7 in that hour). They had told me ahead of time that if I have four in a hour to either call or head to the hospital. I wanted to avoid the hospital trip so I was lucky enough to catch the office before they left.

The nurse called the doc and fortunately the OB wanted me to lay down, drink water and see what happened in the 2nd hour. I did that and only had 3. So they let me skip the hospital since I have an OB, NST & BPP app't tomorrow morning. I have had plenty more ctx tonight, but not enough to go to the hospital. I have a feeling this is going to get interesting.

Take it easy mama! It was all those contractions that put me on bedrest at 33 weeks and I only had one peanut to worry about. REST REST REST REST REST REST REST REST REST REST REST! Hang in there kiddo!

Best thoughts to you and the twins!

Interesting indeed... You tell those little girls to stay put for now! ;-) I know it's hard but try to get some rest. Let us know as soon as you can how your tests go today!

I had my twin girls at 34 weeks despite a few weeks of bed rest...you might want to explore the question regarding whether a cortisone shot might be appropriate to help with the girl's lungs in case this is a precursor for an earlier delivery?
Best wishes for all of you.

BTW: You have to have 2 shots of cortisone...the initial one and I think the 2nd the following day. If that's the appropriate for you. (They are not bad...excepting make sure you have food nearby, I could have eaten a horse!Luckily, I was already in hospital, so the horse was safe but I had to get food brought in for me!)

REST!!

No more blathering on from me, I've already lectured... ;)

I put my bet down for delivery sometime between May 30 & June 2nd.
But, as Meg said, REST REST REST REST.
I'm anxious to see the little ones, but would rather wait until they are ready to greet the world!
;)

No advice here... we didn't do well with stopping early ctx... But I feel your pain! Rest and take care of those girls.

About this blog

Over 8 years we have struggled through 3 IUI's, 6 rounds of IVF, several RE's, hundreds of appointments and the loss of three little angels. Now we find ourselves the proud parents of two perfect little girls and a wonderful little boy!!

Both of our girls struggle with some disabilities but that won't keep us down. Each day has it's own brand of insanity but we love it. Most days I am more monkey wrangler than mother but I do the best I can. Todays goal - getting to tomorrow.
