My Little Fishies

This past weekend the girls wenty in the swimming pool for the first time. I decided to wait until they were at least 6 weeks old before we even dipped their little toes in. My Mom, Bry, Genna, Will, Jordan, the Girls and I all went to the pool on Sunday. I thought it would be fun to put the girls legs in the baby pool. I expected that they would both scream but I figured Gracie would flip and Abby would get used to it. My Mom first dipped Abby's feet in and she jumped but didn't really fuss. Then I put Gracie's feet in and she did scream, at first. We decided to put them in up to their waists while sitting on our laps and see what they did. Surprisingly Gracie liked it and Abby cried. Who knew???

They only spend a few minutes in the water since we didn't want them to get too much sun. Abby didn't last long but Gracie was in for almost 10 minutes. I got lots of pics since I have to have a photo or video of every "first." It was funny seeing them so tiny in the water. Sometimes I look at them and they look so big since they have grown so much but seeing them in the pool reminded me how tiny they still are.

See - you forget that twins are symbolized by two fish.
I loved swimming with my babe when she was 2 months old. We went all the time. I used to take a laundry basket with me so I could set her down in the changing room and dress myself. She liked it and I got some exercise.
She was always STARVING when we were done. I think they are hardwired to want a snack when they "come out of the waters"

About this blog

Over 8 years we have struggled through 3 IUI's, 6 rounds of IVF, several RE's, hundreds of appointments and the loss of three little angels. Now we find ourselves the proud parents of two perfect little girls and a wonderful little boy!!

Both of our girls struggle with some disabilities but that won't keep us down. Each day has it's own brand of insanity but we love it. Most days I am more monkey wrangler than mother but I do the best I can. Todays goal - getting to tomorrow.
