We finally had our 2 month visit with the pediatrician a little late. It was more like an 11 week visit. Abby is 8lb 10oz and 20 1/4". Gracie is 10lb 2 oz and 21". They are both way behind the curve, but doing ok. Abby was not in a good mood and screamed throughout. Gracie smiled and laughed at the doc, it was so cute. They are hitting their milestones appropriately, which is such a relief.
They got their first round of shots today and they were both so upset. Gracie turned purple she yelled so much. They settled down after a few minutes and when I got home they took a decent nap. They both woke up with fevers and are currently pretty miserable. I am giving them Tylenol drops every 4 or 5 hours to fight the fever. I got them back to sleep for the moment but I have a feeling it will be a long night.
In the past couple weeks the girls have really made leaps and bounds developmentally. Grace has been holding up her head, smiling and cooing for a couple weeks now. She sits in her high chair and just grins like a fool. Abby was a little slower but is now holding her head and smiling a ton. She has even started cooing. It is just so hard to believe that in 2 short months they have made such amazing progress. It really is such an amazing process to watch.
