Ok people, this is lame but the most exciting thing since our girls have arrived has happened. We got TIVO! We are losers with basic cable (I am not exactly a spender). Since having kids we have found that sitting and watching a show straight through isn't so easy. So we looked into Tivo and in my savviness I got the tivo box for free and we now pay $17 a month. It s fantastic. If you miss a play there is an 8 second instant replay button. If a baby cries you can just rewind what you were watching. I am in love with it and have a feeling I will be watching a bit more TV in days to come. :>)

We have the Dish equivalent (DVR) and love it! We use it for everything. I couldn't tell you the last time I watched a show live! We use it to skip all the commericals - turns a precious hour that would be spent in front of the tv to 40 minutes, tops.
I'm with Kristin. We have the dish dvr too, and we absolutely love it. Cuts those annoying commercials out. Plus, we can tape one show while watching another. I don't think I could ever go back to normal tv if I had to....lol
