I keep meaning to post these pics but a couple weeks ago, for the very first time we gave the girls their first taste of cereal. The doc gave us the okay for Gigi at her 4 month checkup but we decided to wait for Abby to catch up before we started. This weekend we decided that Abby was ready and frankly could use all the extra calories she could get. Both girls were VERY put off by the whole thing but Gracie was more into it. Abby mostly spit it out and make faces. Grace did some eating and even grabbed the spoon a few times. Hopefully they get better (and neater) at this whole endeavor.

I don't think the neatness comes for quite a while -- maybe when they're teenagers. Katie makes more of a mess now than she did when we first started feeding cereal. This is when I'm glad we don't have carpet in the kitchen!
