Today we went to our 6 month pediatrician appointment (even though the girls are 6 1/2 months now). We went through all of the CHOP stuff with our pediatrician, whom we haven't seen since all of this began. We have a plan of attack for neurology, ophthalmology and MRI. Everything else is looking okay. Gracie lost weight so the doc is putting her on Zantac to help with the puking and fussiness. We were hesitant to put her on meds for it but when she starts losing weight we have to do something. She lost 5 ounces in three days. She is measuring 14lbs 12oz and is 26 1/4". The doc said that other than her feeding issues she is very healthy. She is 20th perc now for weight and 25th for height. Her head comes in at the whopping 95th percentile! I do have some large headed children.
Abs is doing well. She weighed 14lb 1 oz (9th percentile) and is 25" long (around 20th perc.). Her head is now 43cm which puts her in the 75th still. Our doc was impressed with how much progress she has made with her PT.
So both girls are still small but doing well. The doc would like to see more weight on them so we will be trying to encourage higher calorie foods (like oatmeal over rice) and plenty of it.
