It has been a while since I updated on the girls status. So here goes...
Gracie - Miss Grace has had a very up and down couple of weeks. On the positive she is now sitting up for short periods of time. She can roll around like a baby chimp. She is up on her knees and rocking so we know crawling is imminent. She is also scooting around the room. I can't believe how much progress she is making in such a short period of time. On the less positive note she has been even grumpier than normal. As much as I love my little Gigi she is a very cross little girls sometimes. She has temper tantrums and screaming fits for no reason ALREADY! I thought I would have at least a few more months. She has taken to screaming at the top of her lungs if not being held. We are trying to be patient but sometimes I just want to scream along with her. She is sleeping a little better. She goes from about 9pm until about 6 or 7am. Sometimes she needs her pacie a couple times but we are working on that. Last time she was weighed she was just under 16lbs. Still little but making progress.
Abby - Miss Abby has been having a tough go of it lately. Her esotropia (eye muscle problem) is getting worse. We missed her eye doc appointment and neuro appointment last month because she had the RSV. We go to the neurologist at CHOP tomorrow and the eye doc next week. Because her eyes are so crooked she is having trouble seeing so her PT is terrible. She is not rolling from back to belly, not scooting or kneeling and hardly sitting. Our physical therapist said that this could be the case until she gets her glasses. Another frustrating thing is that lately we get a lot of "poor little handicapped baby" when we are out. People look at her eyes and how tiny she is and just assume she has major problems. They get this look on their face and I want to scream. The kid is wooping her sisters butt in terms of fine motor coordination and other cognitive tasks. She now shakes her head no, can now feed herself bottles and finger foods, is starting to wave and is starting to imitate some of the signs we are using. It is just a huge source of frustration for me. I hate that the poor kid is seeing the world in double right now. I am praying that we get her glasses right away and that maybe we can avoid the eye surgery. At her last weigh in she was still a scant 14lb 6 oz.

Kristen!! Your girls are huge and I still have not met them yet!! Only four more weeks :)
Delurking to say that your girls are absolutely adorable and also that when I was a baby I had the same eye problem as Abby and I ended up needing surgery and I can assure you it was harder for my mom then it was for me!!! I needed 3 surgeries in total but after that I could see perfectly and didn't even need glasses! But heres to hoping it can be fixed with glasses :)
