The verdict is...

She needs surgery. :>( It really isn't all bad. They think they will be able to successfully fix her crookedy eyes with surgery.

We saw our pediatric opthalmologist at CHOP today. Off the bat we liked him very much. The frustrating part is that before we saw the doc 3 fellows (docs in training) came in and took measurements. You have to understand that as much as Abby is easy going she HATES docs and hospitals now. With all of the testing, poking and prodding she has done already she hates any medical professional. Through all 4 exams she screamed her lungs out. Then they put drops in her eyes and you can imagine how happy she was then. My Mom was with me so we took the girls for a stroll around the hospital to get her settled down. When we went back the doc was great and quickly looked at what he needed.

He decided that because both eyes are bad that surgery was necessary for both eyes. In the meantime she will be wearing glasses (seen below) to see if any improvement occurs. We will be scheduling her surgery in 6-8 weeks.



The poor kid just can't get a break.
