Every month I know I post the same thing... where have the past __ months gone? Here I find myself, on the girls 10 month birthday, wondering the same old thing. At CHOP the other day there was a young mother with her 4 week old boy. He was almost double the size my girls were at that age but he looked so small and so fragile. I sat there thinking "were my girls ever that small?" I remember that they were but it feels like they could not have gone from such tiny fragile creatures to these big sturdy girls. Amazing what time can do!
So here are our 10 month updates:
Gracie - Our very loud, boisterous twin has taken to climbing, standing and scooting along all furniture. She no longer wants to be up and held she wants to get down and move. She is quite the little explorer. She has 3 teeth and her hair is coming in thick and curly. She is very loud and has quite a temper. She also enjoys smacking, scratching and flopping around. Her nicer games are Patty Cake and reading books. This kid can go from laughing her head off to screaming bloody murder. She can be quite difficult and temperamental but when she smiles everything else gets washed away. She is a Daddy's girl and has him wrapped around her little finger. When she gets upset or falls (which she does quite a bit and has the bruises to prove it) she wants her Daddy not Momma. She now says "Eee", "Mama", "Dada", and "Gee". She signs more when she eats and is starting to sign Mommy & Daddy. Last week she weighed in at a whopping 17lbs 12oz (21st percentile). She looks much slimmer now that she is moving around so much.
Abby - Miss Coco is the less boisterous of the twins. She is much quieter and more shy than Gracie. She likes to watch what is going on and think about it before she joins in. She is now sitting almost on her own and plays with her feet all the time (a great step towards rolling over). She now says "Ta", "Mama", "Dada" and "La". At home she is by far the louder baby but not because she screams, she likes to talk. She isn't into signing at all but is now clapping round the clock. She is very happy and very patient. She is much easier to make laugh and is very ticklish. She has two bottom teeth and one coming in on the top. She is much more of a Momma's girl than Gracie. She is also VERY stranger shy. We think because she spends so much time being poked and prodded by doctors and nurses that she can't distinguish who might hurt her. Last week her weight was 15lb 13.5 oz (5th percentile).
