Today was the long awaited big birthday bash for the girls. It took a lot of planning and a lot of people to bring this party to life but it did happen. We had almost 50 people in attendance. We had a ton of family and friends to share the day with including some of Brian's friends from work, some friends from his karate, and a friend of ours we haven't seen in almost 5 years! There were lots of little kids so Genna and her friend Kelsey were in charge of games and prizes. They played ping-pong (they have a big table in the hall in our neighborhood), Pin the Tail on the Donkey, Hot Potato, Musical Chairs, Freeze Dance and we had a Pinata. The kids were all thoroughly sugared up and happy by the time the party ended.
The girls did a fair amount of crying in the beginning because of all the people they didn't know. They did finally calm down and have some fun with all the attention. It was so nice to have our friends and family together to celebrate our wonderful little girls.
I promise to post some pictures as soon as I get them from my Mom (she brought out her camera while mine spent the party in my purse under a table... woops!).
