Some of you who know Gracie well know what a wild child she can be. The kid has an agenda all her own and no one can talk her out of this. This week we had one of "those days" with Grace. She woke up wild and never settled down. A wild day for Grace involves a lot of temper, a lot of screaming, an equal amount of laughing and smiling, some growling, lots of climbing, hitting, pinching and some biting. One this particular day she took it even further. Around dinner time she was trying to climb up the bar stools that sit by the kitchen. She pulls herself up on them all the time with no problem. Well this time she pulled the chair on top of her, smacked her head on the wood floor, hit herself in the face with the chair and bit her lip in the process. She scared the absolute crap out of Brian and I. I think my heart stopped for a full minute as she laid screaming on the floor. Thankfully she was back to bonkers in 5 minutes.
Later that night we put the girls to bed and went into the kitchen to put stuff away. We heard the girls talking and their voices were getting louder. We're both wondering why so we went to check. The door was open (we leave it almost all the way shut). We kind of figured maybe the a/c kicking on pushed it open. We shut it again and then we see a little hand reach out of the crib and push the handle open. Gracie figured out how to position her hand to get to the door. She is cracking herself up and pushing the door open. She already figured out how to get to the light switch over her crib.
I can't help but wonder what we are going to do with this kid when she figures out how to climb out of her bed.
