Another semester has drawn to a close. I look back on my overloaded summer courses and conclude that this was one of the best semesters I have had in a while. In the past I have found online courses to be sort of wasteful… that was before I had perfected “my game.” I got so much positive feedback this semester from my students. I mean not to sound braggish or toot my own horn but it should be said that some online professors do actually care how their students do.
At first I thought that working from home was more like working part time… boy was I wrong. Because I am a work-at-home-Mom I am doing two jobs all day. I check in with my classes as close to hourly as possible all the while doing all of my household and motherly duties. Frankly it is like working 4 full time jobs. What the hell was I complaining about before when I only worked 9-4???

Amen! Being a WAHM is the toughest thing I've ever had to do. There are days that I wish I had a 8-5 job where I could just walk away from it all at 5pm instead of sitting on the computer at midnight trying to work.
I'm glad you got such great reviews this semester. I had no doubts that you're a fantastic prof.
