After a terrific day for Abby's progress yesterday we had a more regressive day today. She only rolled over once (compared with the 15 or so times yesterday). She wouldn't go to a sitting position from her belly which she has been doing for almost a week. She was very uncooperative during her weekly PT session with the therapist. Yemi (our therapist) is talking about moving towards Abby standing and cruising. One of the battles I have had with PT is Yemi sometimes forgets that Abby's delays stem from her structural brain issues not from weak muscles. So she has a tendency to set unrealistic goals one week and rescind them the next week. As a Mom and Abby's primary physical therapist it is frustrating. Do I follow my gut? Do I do what Yemi tells us even if I disagree? Do I curl up into a ball and ignore the whole damn thing? Well, probably not the last one. I usually shoot for the middle and hope for the best.
This whole parenting thing can sure be a LOT of work. ;>)

My little girl who is 16 months has only JUST began to stand and cruise the furniture. My first daughter was off and running by 12 months, I can't even remember her having to try and walk. I look at clips of your little girls and I think they are doing fantastic for their age.
