Home Inspection

Yesterday we had our home inspection and termite inspection. We had prepared ourselves for a laundry list of things wrong with our house We were pleasantly surprised that inspection went better than expected. The inspectors were very nice and prompt. It was also nice to have an opportunity to get into the house again and walk through.

The only thing they found was squirrels nested in the attic (a momma and babies) and they had chewed through a small part of the the roof letting rain water in. This could be a big deal because the rain water can cause further damage as time goes on, so obviously it needs fixing asap. Other than that no surprises. We knew the house needed a furnace, a/c, appliances and eventually a new roof. In addition to those things they just found little things here and there.

So now we go back to the negotiating table and see what we can get. Hopefully a little something to fix all that needs replacing and fixing.
