Things at the doctor went better than I had hoped. The doc was actually polite and nice to the girls and my Mom and I. He is usually pretty short and quiet. As for the pooping turns out that the BRAT diet can actually make things worse. Sorry for the bad advice if you listened to me. It was likely a virus that screwed up the bacteria in their intestines causing the yucky pooping. So now they are on a high fat, high calorie, low sugar diet. Hopefully things should be back to normal in a few days.
As for the well check part of the visit that went ok. Both girls got their delayed schedule MMR shot and did terrific. Hardly any crying at all. My little troupers. Their weight is where things went a little worse. They have been sick so we expected low weights. The doc plotted their heights and weights and found Gracie was 10th for weight, 33rd for height and Abby was 2nd for weight and 5th for height. That seemed okay with being sick. Then we realize this is if we put them on the 18 month curve (this was technically their 18 month visit). Once on the 20 month curve they fell off the chart. Abby is just not growing much at all. The kid is still at 19 lbs and almost 2. They are talking about nutritionists and diet changes but I am a little hesitant to add more docs. After talking to one of my best friends (you know who you are ;D ) who also has a petite little girl I might try the consult just to see what they have to say.
We'll be discussing Abby's size with the neurogenetics teams so they know that piece of the puzzle. Hopefully they will both continue to follow somewhat of their own curves. I guess we'll see.

Kris - Emma is also a tiny one weighing in at just 24 pounds the other day at her cardiologist appointment. She is 28 months. At her 2 year appointment she was only 23 pounds. Perhaps you just have some petite young ladies :).
I should add that Emma hasn't been on "the chart" since she was 3 months old or so. My pediatrician hates "the chart."
I Am starting to think "the chart" is just a waste for tiny kiddos.
That's good to know- I always thought the BRAT diet was what you're supposed to do as well.
