Just a quick update for those of you who are following along with our house buying story. We have been waiting all this time to find out if the sellers were willing to sign off on our requests to lengthen the terms of the contract. They screwed some legal stuff up BIG-TIME so this all has to go before a judge next week. It doesn't effect us it just effects the clearing of the title. So we asked them to pay the fines for locking in our mortgage rate (5%!!!) and to out the money in escrow that is being credited to us to fix the squirrel/roof problem. It took almost 3 weeks to get it all figured out but it looks like we will be signing the extension tomorrow with a hopeful closing date of March 27th. This whole thing has been such a nightmare. Hopefully it will all be worth it in the long run.
