And hurray for the mess that they hold. We never had a playroom in the old house. Our mess was scattered about our entire house. When we moved to this house we made the decision to sacrifice the formal living room AND den concept. Instead we went for one casual living room and a very large playroom which is conveniently situated right off the kitchen. This idea has been working out in spades. While we don't allow all out chaos (toys are rotated weekly and kept in bins on their "weeks off") it can get messy without my OCD taking complete control of my brain. It is a thing of joy for a neat freak Mom.
All in all the new house is such a blessing. We have more room. We have been able to make it our own with paint and such. We have more outside space. It's a very nice house. :D
