In response to my own post on why I am not going to win Mom of the Year here are a few reasons why I might still get honorable mention. (Sometimes you gotta toot your own horn.)
- I let my kids paint and make a huge mess.
- I surround my kids with people who love them
- I tell my kids at least 20 times a day that I love them and I always will.
- I sing stupid songs non-stop and they love it.
- I cook every day and my kids rarely get fast food or boxed food.
- The girls and I dance together daily.
- I teach my kids to sign.
- I teach my kids to laugh.
- I teach my kids to love each other.
- I teach my kids to stick up for themselves.
- I refuse to raise those whiney, obnoxious girls who cry every time someone comes near them.
- My hair may not be brushed every day but my kids is.
- I don't hit.
- I stay home every single day of their lives by choice and by sacrifice.
- I spend at least 20 hours a week doing PT, OT or ST.
- I spend at least 10 hours a month sitting in some doctors office.
- I will not buy my kids any toy that does more than one of the following: lights up, makes noise, moves on it's own or generally annoys me. I think toys these days are just overstimulating.
- We get out of the house almost every day
- I love my children's father
- I can't imagine doing anything else.
