For the most part I love weekends. I love that Brian is home so I have another set of hands to wrangle kids and serve meals. I unfortunately do not get a whole lot of help with cleaning and laundry but I take what I can get. There are a few things about weekends that kind of suck. The first is that our routine is still our routine on weekends. They still get up early. They still need to be fed, bathed, diapers changed, etc. Second, our neighbors dog seems to love Saturday and Sunday morning barking. Grrr...... Third, I swear I get migraines more on weekends. Not sure if it's the letdown from long weeks or the fact that I KNOW Brian is there to keep the girls. I spent three hours in bed with one yesterday. Fourth, the girls are terrible in church. Two two year olds and a quiet church are a bad mix. And finally... they go way too fast.
For the most part we look forward to our weekends. We get to spend time at the pool, playing at home and enjoying no therapy or expectations. I just wish weekends were five days long and weeks were two. Oh well!

Chris also seems to wake up with head aches on the weekends...we can't figure it out. The only thing I can think is that maybe his body isn't used to the extra 2 hours of sleep he gets on the weekend. Not sure why that would lead to a head ache though :-/
Also, weekends are WAY too short. It's just enough time to get the laundry and grocery shopping done. It's like playing catch-up rather than relaxing. I really wish that we, as a society, could let go of our ridiculous "work ethic" and get back to our pre WWII mentality.
