Right about now my very good friend Amanda will be going into surgery and having something called a Chiari malformation corrected surgically. The very, very, very condensed version is that it is an abnormality of the cerebellum and surrounding structures. Her diagnosis hit especially close to home being that the bulk of Abby's neuro issues lie in her cerebellum. For years my friend has been battling headaches (bad ones), dizziness, weakness and a host of other symptoms. Hopefully that all changes today.
I humbly ask (again) that you say a little prayer for her, for her doctors, her husband, her daughters and her family. She's a wonderful person and she deserves a life free to blinding headaches and black outs.
