Aside from her bucket 'o beans one of the most helpful OT tricks up our sleeves lately is Gracie's body sock. It is a stretchy little cacoon that she can go into when she gets too wiggly. It helps her get "organized" and get all the input she needs. Sometimes we swing her in it. Sometimes we roll her in it. Lately she and Jordan have discovered that the body sock can be a playhouse made for two very sensory, ADHD children. What you see below is a pose you will find Gracie and Jord in many nights. Jordan lays stretched out in the sock and Gracie sits in the crook of his body. The two of them will sit like this for up to half an hour. These two can't ordinarily sit still for more than a 5 minute spell so there must be something magic about the blue "sock".
Neither Grace nor Jordan has any concept of body space or personal space so they make for quite a pair.
