Man am I sick of hearing myself whine. I promised myself I would stop it even if I want to. I thought I would post about New Year's resolutions. I am not a resolution making type of person. I feel like we tend to set the bar to high and then do nothing but disappoint ourselves. Because of that feeling of impending failure I sometimes set mini-resolutions that are small, achievable goals. Things like losing 5 pounds, being more patient, reading more, etc.
This year wasn't a whole lot different than my normal. I didn't set any specific resolutions. (Again, fear of failure much??? :D) I did secretly agree with myself that this is the year we start saving. Sure, we have put money away here and there over the years but the bulk of it has gone to IVF costs and our house. I know that looming in the future are braces, tuitions, many, many medical bills and so many other things. I am already a saver by nature. I coupon (big-time), I sale shop, I am thrifty and am not a spender. I am hoping that in addition to simply saving money maybe I can start putting some of it away.
Anyone out there make any fun resolutions they want to share? I love hearing them... and envy people with more ambition that I possess in these matters. :D

I'm not a big resolution maker either, but I agree on the money saving one. Kyle and I are going to get serious this year about where our money is going and saving a lot of it. We are taking Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University class and hope that will give us the jump start we are looking for :)
No huge ones for us either, we don't do "that." ;) But yes, saving money (ummm yea) cutting more coupons (can you help with that?) less bitching from myself, and more positive thinking!
Oh, BTW, Josh got your stuff. Said it was awesome, and THANK YOU. :))
Money--stop spending it so darned much. I'm also gonna work on my patience (increasing it of course cause it would be impossible to decrease it) and finding the right balance between bulk shopping and regular grocery shopping. And feel the joy as often as I can.
