After speech this morning (which consisted of an hour of testing for out upcoming annual review) we set out for the rest of our busy day. I can happily report that the papers for the girls special needs preschool application have been submitted to the board of education. The process is officially started. Next week we have what they call a Transition Planning Meeting where someone from the school, our OT (who we adore) and our Service coordinator all come to talk about what the next six months holds for the girls.
Then I dropped Gracie with my Mom (man is she a life saver) and took Abby for her EEG. It went well. We didn't get the results but she did alright with the test itself. She had to be put into a papoose (think full body soft restraint) to get the leads on her head. She was hysterical through that part (and again when they took them off) but she cried minimally during the 20 minute test.
So on Friday I will call the neuro to see what results he has in and what the next steps are. Looming on the horizon are an ENT apppointment for Gracie. She did go to the pedi yesterday and she does have another ear infection. The doc is thinking adenoids might be the cause. We have to get in to see an endo for Abby for her growth issues. The sleep study for Abby still needs to be scheduled. Then I'm sure we'll be back to the neuro before too long to pool all of those pieces of info.
