Picking up Abby's braces the other day got me thinking about all of the equipment that we have used in the past (and present) to get us where we are today. The technology is nothing short of amazing. I can only imagine that had Abby been born when I was born she would be so much less mobile than she is. The kid is a study in adaptive equipment. :D (And these are only the pieces of equipment I readily found pictures of.)
