So my newest project is teaching myself Photoshop. I am lucky to have a web developer husband who was trained as a designer so I can use his books, magazine, etc. But I really want to try to learn it myself. I have spent countless hours working on it and I am getting a little better (slowly). I really just want to learn it for digital photography so when I finally get my new camera (come on tax money) I can hit the ground running. Here is some stuff I have been working on:

I am no master (yet) but I think you can see the difference.

These are great! I can't tell you how many pictures I have that I'll never print because they're too dark. Looks like you've figured out how to make Photoshop work for you! Keep up the good work! I for one love looking at photos so don't be afraid to share them :-)
Oh - I forgot to mention! There's a photographer on Flickr whose photos I abosolutely love... His name is Aaron Nace (http://www.flickr.com/photos/aknacer/) and he teachs online Digital Enhancement classes (http://digital-enhancement.com/). Thought it might be a good fit for you. Good luck!
Thanks Nicole... I am totally going to check that out!! And thanks for the nice words. I am hoping to rapidly improve in the next few months. We'll just have to see about my patience level. ;D
I've found it to be a looong journey but also a lot of fun! I'm going to check out that class - I have yet to to take a PS class and I think I could really benefit from one. Have fun experimenting!
