Last year we unofficially jumped up a tax bracket. I taught more classes and Bry got his 2% raise. It was enough to push us to the next level of income (and let me tell you it is not all that much). So in theory we should be making and keeping more money, right?
WRONG! Because of this jump we have experienced some other changes. We now have to "cost-share" every single EI session. That means we pay a portion of every therapy session we have. We also now have to contribute more money for our health care. To top it off we have more taxes taken out of our paychecks. So instead of making more money to save, spend or do what we want with we make more to give away for things we used to get for less. I might have to sit down and do some quick math. I may be working more to make less.
