Grace is in!

I got the call today from our case manager at school and although they don't typically tell you in advance of the IEP she decided to put me out of my misery and call. She told me that despite Grace's scores being relatively high on the Peabody her sensory needs are great enough to qualify her. Thank God for Miss Carolyn's clinical judgement. She will receive OT and speech.

Abby was eligible for the summer program but Grace was not so we made the decision to pass on the summer. I hated the thought of sending one of the girls and not the other. Because we have been in therapy since Abby was 4 months old I think my kids have earned some time to be kids. To enjoy the pool and the park and the zoo. To sleep in late and stay up to watch baseball or play outside. It is going to be so freeing to have NO THERAPY on a daily basis.
