Potty training seems to have taken a slight turn for the better. Both girls are getting it... slowly but surely. Both girls are going in the potty at least 50% of the time and usually it is a lot more. I am finding it almost surreal to imagine a world where my children do not require diaper changes round the clock. It sounds absolutely heavenly. I just pray that things continue to keep with this upswing.
Both of the girls are learning to swim this summer. We belong to our neighborhood pool which is right across the street from our house. I am in love with the fact that both of my kids love the water. I have always loved the water and loved to swim so it wamrs my heart. We bought each of the girls Puddle jumpers. Have you seen these things? They are amazing. My girls have gone from needing little baby boats to be in the water safely to practically swimming themselves. I think by the end of the summer Gracie might be swimming on her own and Abby will be close behind her.
The girls started gymnastics this week. I was a little nervous because I did not have the opportunity ahead of time to talk to the instructor to tell her about how special Abby is. I talked to her very briefly when we got there and she was fine with it. The girls did absolutely awesome. They participated. They listened. The followed directions. They needed very little help from me or their teacher. Gracie had about 10 rough minutes of adjustment but then was fine. I was so impressed. They are going to do awesome in school.
Sitting with Honey getting ready for class.
Waiting patiently to do the obstacle course.
