The surgeons go through this laundry list of things that are likely side effects of surgery. Everything from pain to death. It always feels like such a weird part of the process... your kid could be in serious pain, your kid could die, yada, yada... sign here. Weird!
They said she's have pain and she does (still!). They said she could get an infection and she did. They said she might not eat and she isn't. They said it could take a week to get back to herself and we are still waiting. Well when they went through their list last week they forgot something. A DAMN COLD! No one mentioned that hanging out in a germ infested hospital would lead to a miserably nasty summer cold for both girls. Abby is handling hers fine but poor Grace is in misery. She has a huge node on her neck. Can't swallow. Can't breath. She is just defeated. Hoping better days are coming SOON!
