Today was a little better than yesterday. Through the use of about a thousand deep breaths we managed to keep the tears at bay except for a few small jags. Grace spent most of the morning quietly saying " I don't want to go to school" but that I can handle. I had them fairly calm as we left the house and quiet right up until the bus came. We still had complete hysteria when they saw the bus but were alright until then. Their note home said they had calmed by the time they got to school and had a great day!
Tonight is back to school night and I am excited to get to see what they've been up to!

yayy!! have fun :-)
Kristen, I have been reading your blog since the girls were quite small. I just wanted to tell you as a Mom, whose daughter is 27, I so admire you for your strength. I sat in the parking lot of MDO the whole day when I took her the first time. You are a real trooper.
Also I am so happy for you and the girls that it is getting a easier.
PS The "comment deleted" is mine. I wanted to edit this after I posted.
Patty - Thanks so much for commenting. I want nothing more than to crawl into a hole and sob when I send my hysterical children off to school. I guess the solace comes in knowing that this is such a wonderful program.
