Today was the first day of school that I would say was a good day! The girls got up, asked if they had school and instead of the normal tears and whining I got a simple "ok". Followed by the girls telling me they wanted to paint bunnies and fireworks today. :D
They got ready without crying or whining and it continued until they got on the bus. I had braced for the worst. I anticipated that this was going to be the worst day so far. I guess that paid off because the feeling of relief of putting them on the bus smiling is indescribable. I know we made the right choice!!!

I'm glad the girls seem to be adjusting.
The school program sounds amazing. I've recently started reading everything I can on Montessori programs and I love what I'm reading.
I think the Montessori approach is so ideal for small children. It teaches them autonomy while fostering their independence. It does two very different (and almost conflicting) things at the same time seamlessly. I am also a huge fan.
congrats--wonderful! Love the Montessori philosophy, especially for little kids, and send our daughter to one! Not sure how it translates to older kids but I hear from a high school counselor friend of mine that her students entering regular highschool from a Montessori junior high are almost always a grade behind in math. Definitely will have me doing some research down the road!
