I think of my kiddos as "big eaters". They love to eat and they love many small meals throughout the day. We encourage this since instead of eating junkie snacks they eat lots of fruits and veggies and plenty of healthy organic snacks. Today as the girls were splitting a cup of soy yogurt I thought to myself at three they probably could eat a whole cup each. Right? Wouldn't most three-year-olds eat a whole container? Because the girls are so small for their age and such slow growers they have fairly small tummies. I guess in reality I don't know exactly how much they "should" be eating. I hesitate to even use the word "should" since everyone really is different in their needs. As long as they stay on their own growth curve I have learned to be happy.
It just brought a smile to my face as I thought about all the food that they share. Half a cup of yogurt each, half a cereal bar each, half an apple or peach... everything is two halves of a whole. They really are two peas in a pod. :D

OMG. Ava has been eating an entire container of yogurt since she starting eating yogurt!! I think Linc would eat three containers if I'd let him. Linc has been known to single-handedly down three cereal bars in one sitting, too. Oh boy, I should probably start portion control in this house...
What a wonderful way of looking at it! My sister and I have always shared food and I really think it brings us closer!
