Or if you are me... end!
I started my Christmas shopping VERY early this year. As a very savvy shopper I knew that in order to get the deals I wanted I needed to leave myself tons of time. So in that vain I started Christmas shopping back in September. I read a great blog post about how to be a smart Christmas shopper. The thing I too away from the article was that a super savvy shopper should be looking for 40% discounts off of MSRP. I took that to heart and set out to shopping.
Now it is Black Friday and I am happy to say that after taking full advantage of many stores pre-Christmas sales I am just about done shopping. I have a few fill in's but I am about 85% done!!! Yay me!
I must admit the fact that I am having surgery on my hand 12 days before Christmas might have been an influence. I broke my finger on Sept. 28th and knew within a week that I would be having surgery (and using only one hand) right around Christmas. Because of this I knew I needed to be done shopping and wrapping by surgery day. That was a pretty good motivator to be done.
For those of you who have not gotten as far never fear. That same article also said that given the current economic climate the sales as we get closer to Christmas should get better and better. I plan to jump on that by filling my gift closet for the girls birthdays and birthday parties if I see any great deals.
So, happy shopping everyone! (I will be enjoying a store-free day today!)
