What is Diaper Need?
Diaper need is the struggle to provide babies with an essential need - diapers. Some mothers face having to clean out and reuse soiled diapers or have to choose between diapers and other basic needs like food.
Diaper banks are making a difference
With clean, dry diapers, babies are more secure emotionally and physically, moms suffer less stress and importantly, baby hygiene and health are better protected.
What is a diaper bank?
Diaper banks collect, store and help distribute diapers to families suffering financial difficulty. They get diapers through donations, local diaper drives and are able to purchase additional diapers through fundraising.
Huggies is promoting an initiative called Every Little Bottom and they are working to donate 700,000 diapers. I can't imagine having to make a decision between reusing diapers and giving my kids dinner. I want to help!
Today I donated enough to provide 200 diapers to families who need them. I plan to donate more through Huggies Reward points. This is an easy cause to get behind (no pun intended :D).
What did you do today?

do you know if they take cloth? i have a bundle that we never even use. and what's more economical than cloth. they'd never have to buy diapers again.
I did a little nosing around and from what I can see this particular charity doesn't take cloth. I think because many of the people in need don't have the capacity to clean the diapers in their home.
I did find The Cloth Diaper Foundation (http://www.clothdiaperfoundation.org/) which takes cloth diaper donations and distributes to those who need them.
