Ok, so this is one of those stupid little things that sound like nothing but brought such a huge smile to my face.
One of the biggest pains in my butt is making, keeping and coordinating all of our appointments. Most days I feel like I need a secretary to keep me on track. But, alas, there is just me. With all of my stress and lack of sleep in the past two months I have forgotten to make the follow up to Abby's (booster) flu shot (I did eventually remember), went to the wrong location for Grace's GI appointment and overlooked making Abby's yearly neurogenetics appointment. Usually I am so on the ball these things don't slip through the cracks.
Anyway, so last month FINALLY got an allergist appointment scheduled for Grace. I am fairly certain she has asthma but no one has diagnosed her. I couldn't get an appointment until March but you take what you can get. About two weeks ago I was so upset to get a letter in the mail that the allergist had to cancel. It also said that I had to wait until yesterday to schedule the appointment which meant an April appointment. By April the worst would be over and they would mis-diagnose her AGAIN.
So, I called yesterday right at 8 am and explained that we had an appointment for March but the doc had to cancel. She looked at his schedule and noted he had a conference. So she starts spitting out dates he is available in FEBRUARY! So instead of backing it up a month it got bumped up. YAY!
Now we have a shot at getting her properly diagnosed and medicated. NO MORE COUGHING ALL NIGHT!
