On Monday I had a meeting at school with a behavioral specialist, the girls teacher, their OT their case manager and myself. I love how overwhelming those meetings can feel when you walk into a room with 4 people already around a table. Good thing my self confidence is in check. :D
Anyway, we were there to address Grace's tantrums (at home) and Abby's obsessive behaviors. In the interest of saving us all some time I will give the "Reader's Digest Version". The specialist was good, she has a lot of good "suggestions" that we are going to try. She was by far more helpful with Grace's issues than Abby's. I was hoping to get more *solutions* than *suggestions* but I got pretty much what I expected.
We have an appointment scheduled at the end of this month with a developmental pediatrician for Abby so hopefully at that point we will get more *solutions*. In the meantime I think I will stick to reading whatever I can find to try to figure some of it out for ourselves.
