Creative Non-Fiction

I recently "stumbled" upon a new online friend. She is a fellow "writer" (I deserve the air bunnies here, not her ;D) and awarded me 2nd place in her blog's writing contest. She has also been kind enough to blog about me and my thoughts... thereby validating me substantially. :D

The best part is that I have discovered there is a REAL PLACE for my writing. If I can polish up what I write about here, things in my life, they are their own genre... Creative Non-Fiction. I must honestly say that I was largely unaware of this genre. I feel a little ignorant. I also feel like I have been missing out.

Every book I have sat down to write but never could finish. Every idea that pops into my head that I NEED TO WRITE ABOUT. So many thoughts I have scribbled in notebooks or my blog or on index cards. They all have a place.

Here's to my new friend and my new genre! :D
