Updates

I got to thinking (after reading Mich's question) that we have made so many huge steps in the past couple of months and I haven't updated much. So here are our milestone updates.

Diapers - It has been a few months now since we packed up the diapers (except for sleeping). We had a few accidents in the first couple of months but they were very rare. Now we are almost accident free. The girls only wear diapers to bed and we haven't looked back. I love that we are saving so much money by not having to buy as many diapers. It is also nice to have gotten over that initial stage where they have to go to the potty every five minutes. We still frequent the potty on almost every shopping trip but it has gotten so much easier.

The Pacie - This is the thing I thought was going to be the hardest. Grace has done AWESOME! She is allowed her pacie only in her bed and since P-Day she has not complained, not asked, not cheated... NOT ONCE! I am so proud of how amazing she did with it. It just goes to show that when they are ready, they are ready. The funny thing is that when I go in at night to check on them she never has it in her mouth.

The Beds - It has only been a week since the girls have been in their new beds and we can mark that as another success for us. They don't get out without a parent (since Abby is a falling risk we don't allow them to get in and out without us). They are sleeping in their own beds. The best part is that they are sleeping fairly well. Abby is still a poor sleeper but no worse than in her crib.

So check, check and check. I know some people thought we waited too long for some of these things but it worked for us. The girls never felt pushed into anything they weren't ready for. It was never a huge battle either. We let them show us signs of being ready and they did.

My babies are definitely growing up!

About this blog

Over 8 years we have struggled through 3 IUI's, 6 rounds of IVF, several RE's, hundreds of appointments and the loss of three little angels. Now we find ourselves the proud parents of two perfect little girls and a wonderful little boy!!

Both of our girls struggle with some disabilities but that won't keep us down. Each day has it's own brand of insanity but we love it. Most days I am more monkey wrangler than mother but I do the best I can. Todays goal - getting to tomorrow.
