I wish you all a happy, safe and fun Independence Day!
We will be braving our towns fireworks display. Not only do we have fireworks but our town puts on a festival with it. We have food, rides, games, sky divers, etc. It is a TON of fun but for us it can be difficult. As parents of two kids with SPD it can be tough to do something like that. The sounds, smells and sights that make it a ton of fun can also scare the hell out of our kids. We will be going complete with ear plugs, headphones with iPods, scent inhalers and plenty of calming toys. Hopefully, like last year, we can make it work!
