This week we have a growth scan (ultrasound) with the high risk doctor. Because the lima bean has measured behind the docs will keep a close eye on his/her growth. Because the girls were so small (even for twins) we probably just have small babies but they want to be sure. The other thing we'll be looking for this week is possibly finding out whether the baby is a boy or a girl. I definitely do not have the right constitution to wait and see. Part of me wished I had the patience but the other part of me loves the idea of getting things here and there for baby.
We found out at our 17 week scan with the girls that they were both girls. We kind of wanted girls (I know, you're not supposed to "want" one or the other but I am just being honest ;D) but felt like it was going to be boys. When the tech asked if we wanted to know we quickly responded with a yes. She led with "well, they are both the same sex". We both looked at each other and said "boys" and the tech said "NOPE". We were both a little stunned. :D
This week (when I go) I will be almost 17 weeks so hopefully that will be far enough along. Everyone around us is thinking boy but we are both feeling girl. Hopefully we will soon see!
