Today was my 21 week OB appointment. Thankfully my blood pressure is staying stable. She listened to my cough and my lungs and my lungs are still clear. She did suggest I go my GP to have it looked at more thoroughly. I've had the cough for a few weeks now.
I have gained about 8 pounds so far. Baby was moving and bouncing during the check (he usually is) and his heart was in the 150's. The not so great part about the visit was that at my last ultrasound it showed I have a partial placenta previa. (I was a little miffed that they found it and didn't mention it at the MFM appointment.)
Placenta Previa is when the placenta covers part of the cervix (which it shouldn't). The biggest risk is bleeding. Since mine is only partial my doc is just restricting lifting or vigorous activity. Hopefully it won't get any worse as the baby grows. It does solidify the fact that a c-section is imminent. Frankly I'm glad to have the decision made so I can plan accordingly.
My next appointment is in 4 weeks and I will have the 1 hour glucose tolerance test. Fingers crossed that I pass and avoid diabetes with this pregnancy!
