I feel like I have spent plenty of time talking about Abby's kindergarten experience so far so on to Grace for a while. Grace is in an inclusion kinder class, which includes both special ed and general ed students. Grace is considered special ed because of her speech issues as well as her ADHD diagnosis.
So far we have been fairly pleased. Things were a little bumpy when her 7 month pregnant teacher was told by her doctor to stop working so instead of a gradual change of teachers she had an abrupt and unexpected shift. She did surprisingly well with it. There were more bumps when she got placed at a table with the most disruptive boy in the class. She is still struggling with this one.
She seems to be learning a fair amount although I am seeing A LOT of repeats from pre-school. She is also struggling with having to sit still for three hours straight. By the time she gets off the bus she is like a live wire. She spends the better part of the afternoon trying to drive me batty. I am doing my best to keep her entertained but she is wild AND misses having Abby around.
