I thought that by the time I got home I would be ready to write. Over the course of a week I have so many pictures and stories and experiences. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find the time to get down to it. The pictures are still in the camera and the stories are still in my brain. I am guessing this is going to take a few posts. ;D
We left for Florida on Sunday morning and the excitement in our house was palpable!
(Abby caught a stomach bug the day before so when she woke up Sunday morning feeling better we all sighed a huge sigh of relief. The poor baby spent her "Disney Eve" puking and puking.)
The whirlwind of packing and planning and preparing was over and we were off to the airport.
We made it through security (wanting to pull my hair out) and got to our gate. There was a fair amount of juggling to get all six kids on the plane but WE MADE IT!
"Plane Buddies" were assigned early. We put a lot of thought into who would pair up the best and result in the least amount of fighting and whining. Genna got Abby.
Will was assigned Honey and Grace but he snuck in some baby time.
Jordan was lucky enough to sit with my Dad, Jack and I. He was super excited for his first flight!
I am so pleased to say that my kids were the rockstars of the airplane. No one fussed. Jack spent most of the time asleep. It was a VERY turbulent flight since we had to fly over Sandy but they all rocked it.
We touched down in Florida a bit after 1 and the kids were all ready to rock. We caught the Magic Express bus to our resort and the fun began!
More to come soon...
