An extremely cool Spring has held up our gardening efforts. We finally got the rest of our plants in the ground.
This year we skipped seeds and just bought plants. Last year was a bit of a gardening bust (not like we had a newborn or anything) so we are trying to be more realistic this year.
We also decided to scale back a little bit. We chose to stick with lettuce, green beans, squash, eggplant, cucumbers, zucchini, five kinds of peppers and four kinds of tomatoes.
It's not as much variety as last year (and fewer plants) but plenty to eat, freeze and can.
We're hoping that by being more realistic and scaling back that we can stay on top of the kids, the yard and the garden this year.
**As you can see I already have plenty of help. :D Grace was happy to write out all of my plant markers for me!
