Have you ever played four square? It requires four people (of any age), a piece of chalk and a bouncy ball. The rules are simple. One square is called the serving square. That person bounces the ball once and hits it into another persons square. That person must hit it (after it bounces ONE TIME) into another persons square. If you hit it before the bounce or hit it outside of the four square game area you are out. Then you move to the starting square (opposite the serving square).
This is a game we play A LOT in our family. You can play for points or something more official but we play for bragging rights. Many Sunday nights you will have players ranging from 2 to 60 playing in our neighborhood parking lot. We have goofy rules like "Jack is playable interference". Don't think we don't use that one to our advantage. Also if someone is spiking the ball too much we all "go after" that player.
It's old fashioned and primitive but it rocks. On the next nice day, give it a try.
